Bare Back Grill serves outstanding burgers. They use organic New Zealand beef for their patties. It is a large authentic burger. There are double pattie burgers available for those with an enormous hunger. Their fries are excellent. They season their fries with a well selected seasoning mix. I am not sure if they make their fries from scratch. They are among the best fries you can find in Pacific Beach. Next door is the Belgian Frie if you are looking for the Pommes Frites (french fries) specialists.

The burger is made of the 100% organic New Zealand beef patties (or chicken, which i personally never tried), cheese (choice of Swiss, American, Edam, blue cheese), salad, tomatoe, onions and a choice of bbq sauce (menu item "Queenstown Fave") or mustard and ketchup ("Average Joe"). As an alternative to chicken or beef, the "Bare lil Lamb" is a lamb burger with prime lamb, red beets and blue cheese. If you like the ingredients, a welcome change from the regular burgers. A "nouveau cuisine" gourmet touch to burgers that creates a more sophisticated dish. The lamb meat is New Zealand prime.
The Maui Waui is a beef burger with refreshing pineapple. Also great.
My personal favorite is the Average Joe with Swiss or American and fries. A great all American meal. They promote special offers on their website. Your total bill will be about $15 with a drink.

For pick-up orders, call 10-15 minutes in advance. On busy days, add another 10 minutes. They have a outdoor pick-up window if you wish not to go inside.
Another great burger is served at Rocky's Crown Pub. Rocky's Crown Pub has been around a while in Pacific Beach, California. My personal burger favorite is Hodad's in Ocean Beach. On my last visit to Hodad's, i was served the best burger i had in San Diego. Hodad's gets it right. They use exceptionally well tasting patties, great presentation. Ultra authentic San Diego Burger joint. The fries are more like potato wedges, not my personal favorite, but good. Bareback Grill in Pacific Beach makes an outstanding burger and great fries. I prefer the fries at Bare Back over the wedges at Hodad's any day. Bare Back has not been around as long as Hodad's. But they already make delicious burgers, consistently. See you at Bare Back Grill…

I disagree. I don’t think the burgers are that great. I went with a friend and got a total of 3 beers a burger and fries and I think the bill was $27…it’s overpriced. And the staff is usually overwhelmed and slow. I think any of the other bars in Pacific Beach would serve a better burger and maybe not charge for the whole cow.
