Scuba Diving at La Jolla Cove Scripps Park Video

This morning, i went to La Jolla Cove and the Ellen Scripps Browning Park to assist some divers. The Ellen Scripps Browning Park is beautifully located at the ocean in La Jolla. On days with massive swell, surfers populate the waves of the cove. The break only works on big days. Today was flat. No surfing.
The two divers i assisted headed out to explore the Kelp Forest of the La Jolla Cove.

Parking can be a bit of a hassle on weekends. The best strategy is to wait behind the parking cars until somebody leaves. Many tourists and visitors that just stay for a few minutes in this area. This means that people will be arriving and leaving constantly. To wait, preferably with the engine switched off, makes more sense than to drive up and down the road.

There are vendors that sell batic t-shirts and alike. These friendly people will usually be more than happy to watch out for your stuff while you park your car further away in case you could not find a spot close to the diving / swimming entry.

Head straight out and enjoy the kelp and the diverse wildlife…

This is probably San Diego's nicest area. Its beautiful. Walking around, diving, surfing, kayaking, snorkeling or swimming at the La Jolla Cove are all excellent choices for a Sunday afternoon with friends, family and loved ones.

Here are a couple of videos of the La Jolla Cove and the Ellen Scripps Browning Parks. This first video below shows a walk down to the ocean in La Jolla. It eventually ends in Ellen Browning Scripps Park.

The next video shows the diving and swimming entry point at the La Jolla Cove.
